About The Mortgage Girl
I’m Jackie Woodward, a licensed mortgage broker from Alberta that serves clients across Canada. I started my career working for a couple of major banks and rose to become a branch manager before making the switch in 2001.
Over the past nineteen years, I’ve worked out of a home office, supported by my husband and business partner, Peter Fairhead. We operate nearly every day and can complete an entire transaction without needing to meet a client in person.
We’ve also recently introduced an innovative customer portal to make it easier to upload the necessary documents and to sign the property paperwork online. It’s a good option if the client has a busy schedule or for customers to utilize in the current COVID-19 lockdown situation.
The Mortgage Girl Difference
One aspect that makes me second to none is that I use my thirty-nine years of mortgage experience to dissect what the client is looking for and determine if it’s indeed a good deal. Besides, I have access to many lending options, which makes the process seamless.
What also sets me apart from the rest is that I maintain regular communication with clients, even if there is nothing new to inform. Most of my clients prefer to use email, text, or phone, and I make myself available to answer all their queries efficiently, which has made me successful.
One of my most significant achievements has been regularly placing in the top twenty percent of brokers with TMG Canada, and one year I even finished in the top five percent. However, I’m not big on awards and derive greater pleasure when a challenging file gets finally completed.
To achieve this, I fight for clients and never give up even when they have already been turned down by the bank, and have lost all hope of securing a mortgage. It has led to repeat business and referrals after they recommend me to their friends and family, which is rewarding.
My dream for the future is to carry on serving clients with dedication, as I love to put together mortgages and send out files for approval.
