Jackie Woodward
Mortgage Broker
When a client is looking for the lowest rate available to them based on their finances, are they truly getting offered the lowest rate? Based on recently published bank practices, this is very unlikely.
Jackie began her career in the financial industry over 35 years ago where she started as a Bank Teller with one of the big 5 banks. Over the years, she learned everything to know about mortgages from some very seasoned Mortgage Underwriters. However, one thing really bothered Jackie and that was the limited financing options offered by the banks. In 2001 Jackie made the decision if she was going to better serve her clients she would have to leave banking and become a licensed Mortgage Broker. Why was becoming a Mortgage Broker better for her clients? She could not only source lower rates from her many “prime” lender contacts, but she could also refer client applications who don’t fit into the bank box, to alternate lenders who could still approve them.
